Orion Jensen is passionate about technology and helping companies align their technology and business strategies. With a background in successful product development and a passion for solving business technology challenges, Orion’s leadership is the backbone of the Clear Launch operation. Coming from a hands on technology background, he knows that your business’ ability to grow is directly impacted by how your technology scales.
Orion received his BS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and went on become a lead developer for Solar Winds, SecureCare, and Buildasign. As Technical Operations Manager at Buildasign, Orion helped grow Buildasign from one employee to a company with multiple teams of developers and $30M in revenue. These successes led him to found Clear Launch in 2013 with the mission of improving his clients’ business processes from purchase and production to fulfillment and logistics.
As an active member of the Austin tech community, Orion serves as the speaking coordinator for the Austin .NET users group and enjoys participating in hackathons across the city. He hosts the bi-weekly meetup Ask A Software Architect to promote education and fellowship within the Austin developer community. Orion also serves as the Co-Founder and CTO of Embarkly, which simplifies the comparison and scheduling of pet boarding services.
VP of Client Services
With over 18 years experience in sales, marketing and client services, Ryan is passionate about one thing: Helping clients achieve their long-term goals.
Prior to joining Clear Launch, Ryan successfully lead global Professional Services and Consulting organizations across North America, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand. Ryan was responsible for delivery of the Oracle Field Service Cloud for key clients that included Dish Network and Ricoh USA. He held roles in both solution implementation and client relations at Bazaarvoice, where he helped customers deploy game changing social marketing and user-generated content solutions for industries ranging from CPG and Retail to other more highly regulated industries.
Ryan holds a Master in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. With additional studies in Enterprise solution implementations, change management and project management, Ryan has built a successful career in matching client needs to technical solutions that drive value every day. During his free time, Ryan can be found curing and smoking bacon or on the racetrack competing in 24-hour endurance auto races.
Wm. Barrett Simms
Lead Solution Architect
Barrett Simms is a senior management and technology expert at Clear Launch. With over 2 decades in software product development, Barrett specializes in development resulting in lower costs, faster time-to-market, and higher quality software. He has overseen project management, software development processes, and technology for the last 15 years with companies like Investment Technology Group, John Hancock, and Wellington Management.
Recently, Barrett lead a team of 15 people to deliver a $4 million re-write of John Hancock’s Long-Term-Care product including web, desktop, and distributed server components. Upon delivery, this product was delivered virtually flawless and two months ahead of schedule due to Barrett’s implementation of Agile and modern quality software practices.
Barrett is a graduate of Boston University with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He continued his education at MIT, Stanford, and Harvard Medical School before leaving bioinformatics for a career in software development. Barrett is also a prolific technology writer and presenter on advanced Agile practice management and core software development fundamentals. Barrett regularly speaks at conferences and meetups about a range of topics based on his articles, which can be found at wbsimms.com. During his spare time, you can find him in his personal electronics lab creating hardware prototypes.
Dan Graham co-founded BuildASign.com in March 2005 and has since founded two more companies – Massage.com and Wearables.com. He currently oversees the growth strategy of BuildASign.com and plays a key role in the company’s philanthropic efforts and talent acquisition. Dan is a winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013 Central Texas award. He is also a recipient of the Austin Business Journal’s 2012 Best CEO Award, and was named 2012 Austinite of the Year and the Business and Entrepreneurship category winner by Austin Under 40, recognizing his success as a business owner as well as his commitment to philanthropic work. As a native Austinite, Dan personally gives back to the Austin community through participation on the Board of Directors for numerous philanthropic organizations in Austin including United Way for Greater Austin, Caritas of Austin, Austin Chamber of Commerce and Greenlights for Nonprofit Success. In addition, Dan serves on the Board of Directors for a number of Austin startups including Wondercide, Snap Brands and Pride Bites. He also acts as a mentor to aspiring young entrepreneurs, partnering with Capital Factory and Incubation Station. Dan earned undergraduate degrees in computer science and philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
